Tips on getting the best price on Handyman Services:

If you want to pay as little as possible when employing the services of a handyman then there are a few things you can do yourself to help keep the costs down and stick to your budget.

Bundle jobs

Consider which jobs you need doing and put them in order of priority.

To save money, it might be wise to wait until you have a number of minor home repair jobs to take care of before you bring someone in.

Organise

Some jobs may require your electricity or water to be switched off. at the main outlets.

Making sure you know the locations of these utilities with clear access can save me time and you money.

If I am resealing a shower tray it helps me if you make sure the shower cubicle is clear of shampoo bottles etc before I start.

This saves me time and you money.

Tidy Up

Laying new flooring in one of your rooms, it would take me less time if the furniture has been moved out of the laying area and the floor has been cleaned before I arrive.

I don’t mind doing this myself, if you do this before i arrive you could save me time and you money.

Fixed priced jobs

If there are specific materials that need to be purchased for a job, the preference is for the customer to supply them.

**In cases where you cannot provide all materials needed for the job, I can go to a local hardware store / builders yards and supply the needed materials at my standard "shopping time" rate of £40.00 per hour. This will be charged as an additional charge on the top of our agreed price. Please note materials cost and any parking charges incurred will be in addition to my shopping rate.

Any jobs undertaken in town or city centres will have additional charges due to travel and accessibility challenges.
